As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of international trade operations while upholding our commitment to compliance and integrity.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Closely monitor and manage cross-border licensing requirements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to import and export control agencies, relevant local government contacts, and laboratory, research, supply chain, and commercial associates to ensure compliance with governmental laws and regulations and to facilitate trade initiatives.
  • Drive efficiency in trade compliance and reporting by working with technology teams to design and implement solutions in automation and data integrity.
  • Daily tasks related to government submissions and supporting team in ongoing audit work and documentation preparation. You will also be responsible for reviewing specific transactions and maintaining visibility into international shipments.
  • Added support to ongoing documentation functions, audits of prior international transactions for compliance needs, and preparation of government audit documents.
  • Document business procedures, best practices, and internal controls necessary to ensure customs compliance to minimize business and legal risk, including the creation of SOP’s.
  • Support all import/export needs for US sites including laboratories and research facilities – activities may include, but are not limited to, assessing and advising on import/export law and regulations, standardizing permit language, applying for permits, maintenance of records, and ensuring shipment compliance.


Requirements:

  • Knowledge of specific trade compliance regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, Customs) is preferred.
  • We are looking for a team member with a background in logistics, law, data management, or economics and a willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of shipping terms, customs entry process, and documentation requirements related to international trade.
  • Experience in supporting ongoing audit work and preparing compliance-related documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot potential compliance issues.
  • Proficient in using trade compliance software and tools.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and conduct internal training.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
