JOB TITLE: Trade Planning Analyst


JOB DESCRIPTION:


The Trade Planning Analyst will report and analyze account promotional and merchandising

strategies and execution. With a strong knowledge of customers; promotion tendencies and policies, they will implement and lead initiatives utilizing analytic resources to provide trade

promotions recap, analysis, and recommendations.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Coordinate business trade shows with the sales team
  • Build, manage, and own the Trade Marketing budget
  • POs based on promotional calendar and customer needs.
  • Customer Service and order fill in order to increase Customer satisfaction
  • Support ad hoc projects for the team as needed. Work in conjunction with Sales to build an effective post-promotional spend process including ROI, subsidization, and competitive promotional activity
  • Field Sales team and brokers on entering/tracking promotions, training and providing
  • Trade Promotions Management support to ensure users are entering high-quality customers plans and operating efficiently in the system
  • Is responsible for the implementation of processes that will enable stronger and flawless execution, improving order fill and ensures timely delivery throughout the retail channel
  • Reconcile trade spend across all retail and distributor partners. Liaison between Sales,
  • Visits the points of sales regularly to ensure that the brand is visible, brand guidelines are respected, and for competitive monitoring
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales and Operations to ensure prioritization of
  • Manage campaigns and planning for retail channel customers to accelerate retail business growth
  • Develop and execute the Trade Marketing Plan in line with sales objectives
  • Develops and coordinates programs, projects, and processes for industry leading
  • Effectively manage administrative responsibilities that include being a resource for the
  • Creates reporting that analyzes Trade Marketing effectiveness
  • Finance, and Operations to reconcile trade/deductions/fees/slotting
  • Work closely with Finance to gain alignment on trade spend budgeting and informing variances to budget. Present insights and data from trade spending activities to Sales Leadership team
  • Understand deductions that impact Gross to Net bridge including all fees (late fees, returns, short shipments, etc.) and report, management, and resolute


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong PC skills particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Preference for Tri-State area

  • Highly organized and able to multi-task
  • 2-3 years in Consumer Products Good Industry Preferred (Specifically perimeter food or beverage)
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (Beneficial: Finance, Supply Chain, Accounting, MIS, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability leading to effective trade spend management
  • Ability to manage time, multiple priorities and handle a high volume of work
  • Experience with both branded and unbranded items
  • Demonstrated ability to take prompt action to accomplish objectives
  • Ability and desire to partner cross-functionally with internal and external partners to drive results
