Job Description

Division: All Access Staging

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Employee Type: Temporary

Pay Type: Bi-weekly

Pay Range: $350 - $650 per day based on experience level


Summary:

The Touring Automation Technician's role is to deploy and support the touring automation systems, ensuring show readiness and safety, and running the automation control consoles, under the direction of the Tour Production. All Access supports tours throughout the year, and we are seeking to expand our network of pre-qualified and talented individuals who are interested in filling Touring Carpenter positions as they arise. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Track of inventory of spare parts and supplies
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of automation equipment specific to the production in order to operate it safely
  • Successfully operate the automation control console and cue tracks in a safe and consistent manner as required by production for performances, artist training and maintenance operations for the duration of the company’s portion of the tour
  • Operate within standard operating and safety procedures
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following all established safety policies and procedures
  • Inspect and maintain the automation systems, ensuring show readiness and safety by performing maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment as needed

Qualification Requirements:

  • OSHA 10 certification a plus but training and certification will be provided
  • Willing to travel extensively in the US and internationally
  • Clean and neat appearance
  • Proficiency with basic tools
  • Strong verbal communication skills and professionalism mandatory
  • Some touring or event production experience required
  • Working knowledge and experience with industrial machines, motors, gearboxes and related tools, including uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Working knowledge of AC\DC theory and electrical safety
  • Strong adherence to safety standards
  • Basic computer/smartphone literacy

  • Must be able to follow direction
  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Ability to work with small hand and power tools
  • Visual abilities include close vision and the ability to focus

  • Ability to regularly lift 50 – 75 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
