Basic Function
Provide service to bank customers by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the needs of customers by referring them to appropriate departments in the bank.
\$35-400 - \$37,800 - Starting Salary Range
Essential Duties

• Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
• Identify fraudulent activity to prevent potential losses to the bank.
• Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements.
• Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
• Balance cash drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks.
• Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.
• Stay current of compliance regulatory issues, through ongoing training, as they pertain to duties.
• Receive checking and savings deposits; verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back, and issue receipts of deposit.
• Identifying and selling Yakima Federal products and services beneficial to the customers' needs.
• Process savings withdrawals.
• Follow all bank policies and procedures.

Employees accrue 8 hours of sick leave per month, 80 hours of vacation annually after 1 year of employment (vacation accruals increase depending on years of service), and receive approximately 11 paid holidays per year. Salary range for our Tellers is \$35,400-\$48,000 yearly. "Other Compensation" includes a Semi-Annual Incentive Program payout and employer funded Defined Pension Plan in addition to an employee's base salary.
Training And Experience

• Previous teller experience or 2 years cash handling experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior Customer Service experience.
