Technology Support Technician Jobs

JOB SUMMARYThe Technology Support Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and configuration tasks related to the schools network, staff workstations, and student Chromebooks. The Technology Support Technician is responsible for communicating with the Technology Director on a regular basis and coordinating actions and initiatives with the Technology Director. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESCARE AND MAINTENANCETroubleshoot server/network/workstation issues and help resolve them.Perform hardware maintenance adding and updating approved software.Set up new computer workstations, projectors and cabling.Monitor and configure network service and usage.NETWORK PERFORMANCEConfigure and ensure network and local printer operability and accessibility. Remedy operating system, application software, network connectivity problems.
Observe industry security practices.Make any other approved improvement or modification to increase user efficiency.ADMINISTRATIONMonitor and act upon submissions to our Help Desk system.Perform server maintenance and upgrading as requested.Assist with configuration and maintenance of a range of user account types.Assist Technology Director in purchase of supplies, equipment and other consumables within pre-determined budget and timeframe.EDUCATIONPursue and explore ways to use technology to enhance learning and productivity.Support applications through ad hoc trainings with students and/or staff.Perform user-specific software configuration modifications.
