Job Description
We Are Hiring:
  • Department: Emergency Department
  • Hospital: Ascension Providence
  • Location: Mobile, Al
  • Schedule: 12-hour, Rotating Shift, PRN

What You Will Do:
Provide support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
  • Monitor patient condition and performs data collection. Communicate findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients
  • Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehends the severity of the injury.
  • Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determines the situation, and develops a plan of action.
What You Will Need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Drivers License credentialed from the Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles preferred.
  • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Alabama Department of Public Health obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Alabama Department of Public Health obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
