Job Description
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the creation of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) programs for a variety of CNC Machines. You will write Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) programs using Computer Aided Drafting /Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software to plan work for CNC machines. You will create a CNC Program for a part run on conventional manual machines in the past, and set up and operate manual and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine shop tools and equipment to fabricate parts. You will use CAD/CAM software to create models and two dimensional manufacturing drawings. You will assist employees and provides technical assistance in response to questions concerning the use of CAD/CAM software and techniques of portraying specific items on a drawing, standard requirements. You will identify and implement solutions to issues associated with new production parts and weapon systems where there are no past processes to refer to. You will set up and operate manual and CNC lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, jig borers, drill presses, waterjets, wire electro?discharge machines, shaper, and other machine shop tools and equipment to fabricate parts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and developing technical engineering procedures to provide technical oversight of Computer Numeric Control (CNC) program and machine operations ensuring compliance with quality and technical requirements. For the NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 (GS-5/8 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector reviewing technical engineering procedures to provide technical support of the design, development, troubleshooting or modification of Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programs and machines ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
