They must develop an understanding of the key elements of the Data Engineering projects that they will be tasked with driving to success. The individual will need to monitor adherence to project communication protocols, track progress against deadlines, and help to resolve roadblocks. The TPM facilitates strong communication among Functional and Technology teams, schedules and orchestrates meetings, and manages action item lists that result from them. They must be able to communicate well with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and knowledge bases. Most importantly, the TPM must carry out their responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and awareness to help flag priorities and potential problems in order to find solutions that keep the project progressing on tight timelines.
