Job Description

Our client, in the autonomous driving vehicle organization, is looking for a technical project managers to join its team. This person will manage a variety of projects such as POSIX storage architecture solutions, monitoring and patching, creating VDI solutions, AWS implementations, and managing the delivery of new enterprise applications. This is a 6 month, hybrid opportunity with the expectation of being in the office 2-3 times a week.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare documentation as needed, such as requirements, business process flow diagrams, project charters, SLAs, and basic architecture diagrams.
  • Promote transparency by identifying and proactively addressing problems and risks within the engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to convert corporate strategy and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, presentations, and deliverables.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and finance to identify and track resource requirements, including headcount and budget.
  • Good understanding when to use Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban methodologies to projects and/tasks
  • Drive key decisions by setting meeting agendas to eliminate bottlenecks and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure clear understanding of deliverables by the IT team at all times.
  • Develop standard reports to communicate program requirements, status, issues/risks, and accomplishments to key stakeholders.
  • Define and manage the process for effective project management, including sprint planning sessions, daily standups, retrospectives, and other relevant meetings.
  • Support decision-making process by collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and strategy teams.

Requirements

  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Strong track record in managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Proficient in project management tools, such as Gantt charts.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting.
  • Experience with Platform Engineering, IT Infrastructure, and/or Enterprise Applications.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of OS versions, kernels, and drivers to ensure compatibility and optimal performance in product development.
  • Ability to maintain a big-picture perspective and provide clear and concise communications tailored to different audiences.
  • Experience in regularly updating build and integration branches (BIBs) to maintain a stable and reliable development environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban.

Expected hourly pay range

$90 - $100

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
