Chewy is looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our Pet Pharmacy Tech Team in either Minneapolis, MN or Boston, MA. Chewy’s Warehouse Management System team is focused on building, scaling, and maintaining the software necessary to run our Pet Health Pharmacy Fulfillment Centers (FCs). This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team at Chewy Pet Pharmacy and help drive the tech product suite required for pharmacy business growth. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to significantly impact the business and shape the future of the pet pharmacy industry.

  • Experience in Warehouse Operations or Warehouse Management Systems is a plus.


What You'll Do


The Technical Product Manager leads the requirements, design, and implementation for the growth of Chewy’s Warehouse Management System within Pet Pharmacy. Technical Product Managers are critical in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders.


  • Partner with product teams, vendors, development, analytics, systems specialists, and other technical resources. This hands-on role drives products from inception to implementation. This leadership role sets the direction for engineering and test teams from concept, and partner alignment, to successful delivery and validation.
  • Drive the definition, development, and deployment of best-in-class capabilities that substantially optimize operational efficiency, enhance the consumer experience, and address the company's financial objectives.
  • Lead and inspire the team - This role requires the individual to lead and inspire a cross-functional team to deliver delightful digital experiences for our users.
  • Build and communicate the vision - This role will have high-level exposure and require superior communication and presentation skills to deliver insights to stakeholders and team members.


While working within an Agile environment, you will work with Developers, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders to implement effective systems for logistics and fulfillment applications.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Fulfillment Technology Teams, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics to ensure successful implementation of the product suite.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Chewy’s Warehouse Management System and related product suite and provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure all product releases are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on business needs, customer insights, and technical capabilities.


What You'll Need


  • Demonstrated success in launching and managing products end to end.
  • Ability to effectively work on teams within a highly collaborative environment
  • 2+ years of experience managing a product backlog and contributing toward roadmap prioritization.
  • Build structured prioritization and change management processes.
  • Ability to become a subject matter expert in pharmacy operations
  • A strong technical background and an aptitude for business are required to succeed in this role.
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • 3+ years of Agile processes, such as Scrum, Kanban, and/or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Ability to travel on occasion.
  • Identify and recommend operations improvement opportunities to meet ever-increasing business requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product management, development or demonstrated experience in successfully leading cross-functional teams, preferably in a retail, healthcare, digital, or regulated business setting.


Bonus


  • Experience with Pharmacy Fulfillment Technology and Automation
  • Experience with Atlassian suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience working directly with non-IT business partners.
  • Development experience with enterprise applications
  • Experience with Scrum, XP, or other agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Exposure to Korber/HighJump or any Warehouse Management System
  • Good communication skills with both technical and business audiences.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
