Team Leader - Scm

OVERVIEW:

The Team Lead is responsible for delegating resources and information needed to complete all tasks in their work cells.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain 7S compliance and a culture of safety
• Operate and train on all tools and equipment
• Provide additional back-up and support for other work cells
• Ensure accuracy of all inventory movements in a work cell
• Manage the material work flow for the specific work cell
• Communicate tool and equipment needs and repairs to management team
• Coordinate labor and manpower needs for the specific work cell
• Coordinate material movement with customers and suppliers both external and internal
• Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities within work cell
• Suggest process improvement to maximize efficiencies and reduce cost
• Maintain knowledge as the subject matter expert (SME)
• Monitor and report team member performance feedback to Supervisor
• Collaborate with Environment Health and Safety on compliance within assigned work cell
• Recording and reporting labor utilization for team members
• Lead daily work cell meetings with team members
• Ensure that tasks are carried out properly per controlled documents that support ISO 9001:2015
• Train, mentor and coach workers on all defined processes that support ISO 9001:2015 in work cell

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• High School diploma and two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift certification required
• Experience working in a Warehouse Management Systems database program
• Thorough knowledge of receiving, picking, packaging and shipping documentation
• The ability to coordinate the completion of all tasks without direct supervision
• 3+ years of experience within a warehouse environment required
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills: Excel, Outlook, Word
• Strong attention to detail

WORK ENVIROMENT:

Team Leader will operate primarily on the warehouse floor. Regularly exposed to inclement weather: cold, heat, and humidity. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Frequently exposed to vibrations, moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, machines, dust and chemicals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
• Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist; and work in limited space

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

This position reports directly to the Supervisor.

LOCATION:

Construction Innovations facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA.

COMPENSATION:

Construction Innovations pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employees knowledge, experience and skill level.
