Job Description

POSITIONSUMMARY

The Sr Financial Analyst is responsible for providing the business unit guidance on the administration of state sales tax, Treasury functions, Internal Control support and Accounts Receivable analysis. This includes working with the corporate tax department to ensure the business unit is reporting state sales tax correctly by using Oracle and the Vertex tax software as well as maintaining the customer sales tax exemption certificates in Oracle. The Sr Analyst works closely with Contracts Administration to make sure all Bonds and Letter of Credits are issued timely and following contract requirements. This position also coordinates the quarterly Internal Control process following corporate requirements. Provide analytical support for the customer Accounts Receivables and work with multiple departments to drive the collection of past due receivables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·Work closely with the corporate tax department to make sure the sales tax accrual accounts are reconciled against the Oracle and Vertex reports

·Coordinate the state sales and use tax audits

·Review capital spending proposals for sales tax impact

·Maintain the customer sales tax exemption certificates in Oracle to ensure proper sales tax is reflected on Oracle invoices

·Review exceptions to standard invoice terms to ensure the milestone billings do no generate negative cash flow

·Work with contract administration to issue payment bonds, performance bonds and letters of credit according to contractual obligations.

·Coordinate the approval of all Oracle invoice credits

·Maintain treasury banking data and make changes as necessary to authorized signors according to corporate policy

·Coordinate the Internal Control process and work with multiple departments to ensure all changes are properly reflected in the system

·Provide analytical support for customer Accounts Receivables including forecasting and budgeting Accounts Receivables and customer invoicing

·Provide support to the Global Financial Services team to drive the collection of past due receivables. This includes coordinating the weekly receivable calls to ensure all internal departments are included so actions can be assigned to resolve customer disputes

·Prepare and update data requests sent from corporate under tight deadlines.

·Develop and implement improvements to the current HFM reporting process.

·Additional projects as assigned.

EDUCATION

Position requires a B.S. or B.A. degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred but not required.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

·The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Accounting or Finance. Must have specific experience relating to State Sales tax, Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Modeling. Experience dealing with a centralized corporate tax department in a large corporate environment is preferred.

·Strong business system knowledge including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are required.A working knowledge of HFM is preferred.
