Pine Ridge has been dedicated to crafting Cabernet Sauvignon for over 40 years. Blending the restraint and tradition of Bordeaux with the vibrancy of California results in Cabernet Sauvignon–based wines that truly express their origin. Located in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, Pine Ridge Vineyards is comprised of 11 estate vineyards in Napa's best appellations. We focus on Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap District, Howell Mountain, Oakville, Rutherford, and a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
Our hospitality team is a small but mighty, tight-knit work family. Leadership includes our Tasting Room Manager and Hospitality Lead who support you to leverage your unique sales and service talents, as well as our Member Experience Lead who ensures you are always equipped with important and relevant information about our wine club and its loyal membership. We have strong working relationships with our incredible winemaking team and our central member and guest service teams. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Hospitality Associate is responsible for ensuring that visitors to Pine Ridge Vineyards receive impeccable customer service and are left with a positive image of the winery. The Hospitality Associate will provide education, wine samples and conversation with customers that is professional and appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following reflects the essential functions for this job. Other tasks may be assigned from time to time. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Effectively suggest and sell wine, with the ability to “up-sell”
• Provide exceptional service and go the extra mile for all guests visiting Chamisal Vineyards
• Greet all visitors with enthusiasm and create a memorable experience
• Lead guests through wine tasting flights – educating them about the Chamisal story, wines, and brand.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of facilities
• Work towards developing relationships with guests to convert into Wine Club members and also building relationships with current Wine Club members
• Strong ability to sell wine and various club memberships to all types of customers

Daily Tasting Room operations:

• Perform sales transactions for both carry-out and shipping orders
• Adhere to company COVID-19 policies and other safety procedures
• Represent Pine Ridge at outside functions when necessary
• Behave in a professional and mature manner at all times
• Open/Close POS system
• Stock wine and merchandise on Tasting Room floor and storage rooms
• Maintain clean and organized guest/employee spaces at all times
• Ability to answer phone calls professionally
• Open and verify condition of wines
• Actively continue education in wine production, viticulture, and winery history
• Prepare printed guest materials
• Quickly recognize the signs that a guest should not be served alcohol and take appropriate action to professionally address the situation.
• Ability to multi-task; hosting of multiple parties/set up and break down of
• Set up / breaking down the tasting room bar, patios, etc.

EXPECTATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Must demonstrate knowledge of wine and food and show enthusiasm to continually educate and share knowledge with guests and other co-workers (not required but a plus)
• Self-aware, able to work independently, and driven to make a difference
• Must be able to work in a fast paced hospitality environment
• Comfortable speaking in front of crowds
• Must remain calm under pressure
• Must be 21 years of age
• Experience with a luxury wine brand a plus
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs, pass a physical exam and a drug test
• Enthusiastic, passionate and dynamic communication style
• Must have a positive attitude and outlook with the ability to work within a team atmosphere

MUST be able to work weekends, holidays and during peak season
