Job Description

The System Integration Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and deploying solutions used for exchange-based trading applications. This unique position combines Linux operating system knowledge, physical server architecture, unique PCIe hardware choices, network switch configuration, and overall co-location experience to deliver a custom host for trading-optimized applications. This position requires the ability to bring several traditional verticals together (server, network, storage, and operating systems) to deliver a finished solution. Attention to details is a must.
Qualifications – Soft Skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions
  • Must possessstrong communication skills and a high degree of self-motivation
  • Must be detail oriented and results driven; continuously focused on improvements
  • Ability to direct and collaborate with team members across multiple functions
  • Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft products, ServiceNow, Jira/Confluence
Capable of delivering technical and business analysis aimed at short and long-term solutions
Qualifications – Technical
  • Knowledge of Linux Operating System (RHEL Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Network Operating Systems (Cisco, Arista)
  • Knowledge of Scripting Languages (BASH, Python, Perl, VBA, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of Server Hardware (HP, Dell, Supermicro, Ciara, others)
  • Familiarity with Global Co-Locations housing financial exchanges
  • Familiarity with Data Center infrastructure (power distribution, structured cabling, cable management, environmental monitoring, and control)
  • Knowledge of Network Hardware (Cisco, Arista, others)
Ability to orchestrate deployment of network switches, servers, storage globally
Education
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an Applied Field

In accordance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $350,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
