About the Role:
The Systems Engineer (SE) is responsible for supporting the Systems Engineering Manager (SEM) to ensure on-time delivery of System Engineering Products and gated reviews. The LSE is responsible for coordinating with SE for System requirements decomposition, traceability, and compliance, requirements allocations, functional architecture development, management of system/sub-system level Interfaces and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs). The LSE is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of checkpoint reviews with support from the VE and IPTs.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports design verification and validation activities along with system prototype integration.
- Support the SEM in executing Systems Engineering activities and product deliverables (CDRLs).
- Coordinate Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) Meeting and provided consistent Systems Engineering guidance to SE, DDE, and IPTs.
- Support the development of the System Engineering Plan (SEMP) and SE Planning Activities
- Manages the development of the Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) and coordinates with SE, DDE, and IPTs.
- Support the development of the System Requirements Compliance Matrix (RCM).
- Supports the Engineering Review Board (ERB) (including DDMs, PRs, Risk).
- Support checkpoint reviews and associated Checklists/products. Assures technical products for milestones and deliverables are met.
- Support the requirement allocations activities (Size, Weight, Power, Cooling, Reliability, etc) with SE, DDE, and IPTs to assure products are developed based on their assigned allocations and performance requirements.
Qualifications Sought:
- Independent perform who is also seeking a team leader role.
- Must be able to handle task conflict and ambiguity and work with minimum supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- Practical MBSE experience sought.
- 3 years plus in a related role is desired.
Additional Information / Desired Experience
- This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
- Previous experience working on ground combat Vehicles desired.
- Work environment may consist of prototype shop, laboratory, manufacturing and office.
- Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills is required. Works well in team and individually
- This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
- Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required
