Qualifications

Systems Administrator is responsible for participating in the planning, implementation, testing, maintaining, and monitoring of organization IT infrastructure, which includes: VMs, server/storage/networking hardware, production applications, email, backups, and public cloud. Candidate will be responsible for configuring hardware for and onboarding new branch locations. Candidate will occasionally respond to security incidents. Candidate will be the primary escalation point for help desk technicians. Acts as the primary on-call lead for systems and network production incidents. Candidate will work primarily with other systems administrators and help desk technicians. Candidate will occasionally work with Application Developers, SQL Database Administrators, Loan Origination System Support Teams, Operations Teams, and Executive Leadership.

What You'll Do Here

• Participates in IT team’s efforts to analyze root causes of major and/or high-frequency problems reported, mitigation plan, and implementation where applicable.
• Occasionally required to rack/unrack or otherwise troubleshoot equipment at colocation datacenter in Phoenix.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Documents, updates, and maintains procedures.
• Provides technical expertise in a consultative capacity for both technical and non-technical people. This includes both internal business partners (developers, DBAs, loan origination system support team, sales, operations teams, and executive leadership) as well as vendors.
• Experience in the Financial Services regulated industries preferred including meeting Federal, State and Investor mandated IT Operational and Information Security audit requirements.
• Partner with IT Leadership to implement cloud transition and transformation for the organization.
• Help maintain and monitor all networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, and WAPs.
• Performs regular Information Security monitoring to identify and prevent any possible intrusions.
• Help maintain and monitor the following systems/applications: Active Directory, DNS, Azure Active Directory, Office 365, 70+ Windows VMs, <5 Linux VMs, Veeam B&R, Veeam Backup for Azure, VMware vSphere, Azure VMs, Windows RDS, ConnectWise Automate, ConnectWise Control, deduplication appliances, 5~ NASs, PRTG, Fortimanager, Fortianalyzer, Fortimail, and SAN.
• Configure and deploy hardware for new branch locations. This will require travel to the company headquarters in Scottsdale.
• Plan and implement solutions related to the systems/applications listed above.
• Performs periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

Education & Experience
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Strong knowledge VMWare vSphere
• Hands on experience with Active Directory, GPO, DNS, & DHCP
• H igh School Diploma or equivalent required. Industry certifications or advanced education desired; education may be substituted by professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
• At least 2 years’ experience as a System Administrator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server

Knowledge, Skills And/or Abilities

• Hands on experience migrating on-premises applications and to Azure.
• Exposure to any of the following technologies/vendors: Microsoft. Veeam, FortiGate, PRTG, ConnectWise Automate, ConnectWise Control, Exagrid, Dell, Compellent.
• Exposure to Azure VMs and networking.
