Pay ~ $44.00/hour! + travel package/stipend.

Surgical Technologist Traveler - UCHlth Resource Office - Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion 38 OR unit, Level 1 trauma center

Shift- Days + call

13 week assignments available now - extensions options

Requirements:

• DORA License
• BLS
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Surgical Technologist program
• 1-year experience

• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

Job Duties:

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and take appropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
