Job Description
Summary You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist in the Operational Supply Planning Division of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will recommend/implement new, significant program and policy changes and actions. You will provide results of studies, analyses, decisions, and recommendations concerning projects. You will provide feedback and guidance to the Director for the assessment of policy related to excess offload material. You will ensure that all timeframes are met and that the deliverables are in accordance with current polices and procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing supply management work demonstrating knowledge of general supply program management regulations, principles, and concepts in order to apply analytical and evaluative methods concerned with efficiency and effectiveness of supply programs (i.e. ERP Inventory Accuracy and SMART Offload programs). Experience with supply and inventory management operations that support the offload scheduling, logistics, transportation, and organization for offload events in order to provide centralized offload support. Examples of specialized experience are as follows: 1) Preparing schedules, managing material movement, and generating reports covering technical, financial, and scheduling information; 2) Participating in identifying major inventory systems problems and seamlessly incorporate the resolution into the total supply system; 3) Providing feedback for assessment of policy related to excess offload material while understanding how excess is created and the intricacies between Afloat and Ashore offload processes and policy; 4) Performing detailed analysis of supply automated programs to determine feasibility and effectiveness of Offload and proposed policy changes. Must demonstrate knowledge of material designation (ie; consumables, HAZMAT, COMSEC, etc) and knowledge of offload designations/customers involved in material management offloads.
