Supply Chain Inventory Analyst is a key role in the Inventory group within the Global Supply Chain organization. Inventory and Working Capital management is a critical focus area for the company, to improve cash and product flow and to optimize service levels.


As a Supply Chain Analyst you would be responsible to analyze different aspects of supply chain performance and evaluate opportunities for improvement, specifically relating to inventory. Your im,te focus area will be inventory analysis where you will be responsible to evaluate, analyze and report on the Company inventory and recommend changes to inventory policies and processes. Scope will be across all regions and Brands


Major Accountabilities:

1. Responsible to analyze, report on and evaluate performance on all aspects of Client Inventory. Analyze all aspects of Inventory Actuals and Inventory Forecasts compared to phased budget and long range plan for statutory and reporting purposes. Work with Analytics team to improve system and processes for reporting and managing inventory.

2. Develop and improve the Inventory Planning and Forecasting processes, Inventory Modeling and scenario evaluation. Manage the budgeting process and calendar for Inventory

3. Support the business through KPI tracking and analytics, exploring Root Causes of variances.

4. Work with Demand and Supply planners to understand impact of demand and supply variability and Supply chain velocity on inventory and explore opportunities to improve inventory performance.

5. Train and develop Inventory Planning Community (primarily Client, MCAMs, GSPs)

6. Lead collaboration efforts between Planning community and Finance Teams.

7. Work closely with Finance and GFS to drive improvements in monthly processes and FT reporting tools and issue tracking.

8. Understanding the latest trends in Inventory Analysis externally, and bringing-in good practice.

9. Lead Inventory Tier processes, challenging sites and brands deviating from budget making sure there are solutions to return and improve upon the budget.

10. Report to and inform Leadership Teams and influence decision-making.


Minimum Requirements:

- A Masters Degree in Statistics / Engineering (MIS, Computers Science), or bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience

- Significant experience in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning, Supply Chain Management)

- Excellent inventory management skills

- Understanding of Forecasting metrics and their impact on Inventory.

- Understanding of inventory modeling techniques including Multi Echelon Inventory Optimization.

- Deep understanding of Safety Stock Planning, Cycle Stock Planning, Lead Time impact on Inventory levels etc.

- Leading and Influencing Skills


Preferred Background:

- Ideally have worked in an Operational Supply Planning role.

- Knowledge of Demand Planning advantageous

- Experience in data analytics

- Deep Knowledge of Inventory Modelling

- SAP APO SNP Knowledge and understanding & application of SAP ERP

- Knowledge of the basics of Inventory Financials

- Able to move effortlessly from ‘big picture’ to relevant detail and back again as required

- Knowledge and experience in BW/BI reporting

- Advanced Excel skills – managing, analyzing and visualizing large data sources (pivoting, waterfalls, pivoting)
