Description: Supply Chain PlannerPurpose of the JobThe incumbent is responsible for the working in team environment to ensure Customer Satisfaction while meeting the Business Objectives.Required Knowledge and Experience? 5 years previous experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related experience.? Demonstrated strong communications skills both within and outside of immediate team.? Leadership of small teams in a production environment.? Ability to work under time pressure and set the proper priorities.? Effective working relationships with key sales staff and customers.? Lean Experience a plus.Principal Responsibilities ? Utilize SAP tools to be able to Plan Daily Production, Purchase Raw Materials, and manage Truck and Rail Fleet logistics.o Candidate will start by schedule inbound and out bound Rail and Trucks to customers. o After proficiency is gained the candidate may move to a Buyer / Planning role, ensuring daily production is scheduled and purchasing of Raw Materials to support the production plan completed.? Daily collaboration with operations to ensure the Supply Plan is communicated efficiently.? Daily Collaboration with Customer Care Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.? Crosstrain and perform functions related to Site Logistics, production demand planning, and Raw Material Purchasing.? Embraces Safety as a core value for all, encouraging teammates to excel in Operational Discipline and Excellence.? Maximize operational efficiency, quality and reliability through use of Lean Tools.Nature and Scope- Work Environment ? The Supply Chain Planner may not report directly in to the manufacturing, but must be a key team member of that unit to ensure sustainable production. ? ? This position has a high degree of autonomy in making decisions regarding all aspects of the production process to the goal of high reliability and lowest cost, but wisely includes others in their decision-making processes.-Internal and external relationships? The incumbent is co-leader of the Daily Operations Team meetings with the other scheduler.? Daily interaction with cross section of the Operations team, including Process Engineers, Operations Manager, Shift Group Leaders, Operators, Plant Logistics Team, 3PL, Warehouse team, Maintenance team, and the Quality & Continuous Improvement team. The incumbent distributes the daily plan to all parties, communicating changes or critical actions required to keep on plan.? Daily contact with transportation planning and carriers regarding business needs for bulk shipments.? Frequent interaction with Shift Group Leaders and Operations Manager regarding production goals, performance, priorities, etc.- Supervisory Responsibilities ? No direct supervisory responsibilities, but the incumbent is expected to lead through influence and example, especially guiding Shift Group Leaders and Operators.
