Our client is an established NJ based multi-divisional consumer products company that has been in business for over 40 years. They have established several diverse product lines in most major retail channels. They have an immediate need for a senior supply chain executive who will support the continued growth of the organization.
The Director will support all key areas of supply chain, focusing primarily on analytics, forecasting and 3PL warehouse operations. This individual will partner closely with the SVP Supply Chain to identify strategic opportunities and successfully implement operational processes & systemic efficiencies.
Analytics & Forecasting
· Design and implement methods to gather and manage logistics & supply chain data from both internal and external resources.
· Establish SLA & KPI for all key supply chain components, including inbound logistics, DC operations, domestic transportation.
· Identify opportunities to improve supply chain process utilizing established metrics.
· Provide analytics & ROI for proposed supply chain projects.
· Partner with business on forecast projections for inbound ocean volume and DC capacity needs.
Warehousing & Inventory Management:
· Manage all 3PL warehouse partners, including establishing SLA & KPI Standards.
· Provides support to onsite team members and be 1st line escalation support for all warehouse related matters.
· Partner with business teams to support efficiency and new operational requests.
· Create and deliver continuous improvement roadmap to optimize the transportation function and provide excellent customer experience.
· Partner with business and finance teams on maintaining inventory levels to plan.
- Drive data-based decision making for continuous improvement of customer operations through KPI management.
· Partner with IT team on all automation opportunities and problem resolution.
International and Domestic Logistics
- Provides 1st line escalation support for all transportation related matters.
- Partner with SVP on all annual freight negotiations and contracts
- Lead monthly operations performance review and approval meetings that set monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI objectives and performance standards with external vendors.
Talent Management:
· Lead by example and promote a customer focused, results driven and accountable team.
· Provide functional expertise to guide and support internal teams.
· Develop talent to insure lean continuous improvement of operations.
· Promote employee development through training, project opportunities for skills expansion, and individual development plans for all team members.
Qualifications
· DEGREE from a four-year college or equivalent, Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Distribution, Planning or Supply Chain
· Must have excellent Excel skills.
· High-level understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes

· 20% domestic travel
