Job Description

We are looking for a “Data Analyst” to join our Supply Chain team in Calvert, Alabama.

Purpose: The Supply Chain Business Analyst is a vital role within the Outokumpu Americas region supply chain and provides key analytics relating to sales and distribution, planning, inventory and capacity management, and logistics. The analyst will help design, document, and maintain reporting systems. The analyst will constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues, and deliver value. And, they will back up critical functions when needed at both Calvert, AL & San Luis Potosi, Mexico facilities.


Scope & Dimensions

  • Support reporting and analytics, such as KPIs, and create, manage, and improve dashboards.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement supply chain solutions..
  • Interpret large data sets and complex data models and translate them into usable, effective, and presentable data for key stakeholders to drive business improvement opportunities.
  • Effectively participate and assist in facilitation with cross-functional project teams
  • Support key supply chain initiatives and process improvements with analytics contributions.
  • Effectively communicate key findings with process owners.
  • Support the development of efficient data solutions to become the business expert in these areas.

Individual Accountabilities

  • Perform back-up role for supply/demand reporting.
  • Continuously search for innovative ways to drive awareness on data driven opportunities.
  • Closely collaborate and build effective relationships with team and business partners to understand the data and related improvement needs of the business.
  • Responsible for adherence to data governance rules to ensure that Data and Business Processes are aligned.
  • Present results to SCM management and business partners to support high-impact business value decisions.

Requirements of the Job

  • 2 years or more of experience in Supply Chain in Inventory Management, Logistics, or Warehousing.
  • Strong excel and pivot table skills.
  • Spanish a plus
  • Ability to work positively and cross functionally collaborate with supply chain users.
  • Experience with ERP Systems including SAP and transportation management systems.
  • Ability to translate complex data into a consumable presentation.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI data visualization development.
  • High Level (helicopter) view as well as deep dive analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative/analytical or related discipline (Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, or Information Systems) or equivalent years of work experience.
