As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) at the company, you will be responsible for managing supplier quality processes - including Supplier Development, Quality Assurance, AVL (Approved Vendor List) management, and New Product Sourcing. You will work with the supplier base and other business unit departments to qualify and source new parts, resolve nonconformities, and drive continuous process and product improvement. You will become a key member of our quickly-growing team, in a fast-paced environment.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
Support the Engineering department with regard to supplier quality needs.
Provide support to production and receiving inspection teams and resolve any supplier issues.
Review and help manage supplier-related quality concerns and customer returns.
Monitor parts from acquisition through the inspection/manufacturing cycle.
Assess supplier performance through analytical analysis and communicate findings to management.
Responsible for issuing supplier-level corrective actions and providing assistance to suppliers in implementing corrective actions. Also responsible for tracking corrective actions to ensure response and effectiveness.
Represent quality in all required aspects of new product development (NPI)
Work with purchasing team for initial quotations and RFQs for newly-sourced components.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of engineering or quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment. A plus to have experience in LED lighting or automotive manufacturing.
B.S. Engineering
Bilingual in English and Mandarin is required
Thorough knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, and DFMEA processes.
Self-motived, self-starter, ability to work independently to achieve strategic goals.
Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
