Insitu is looking for critical, analytical problem-solvers to join our supplier quality engineering team. Supplier Quality Engineering is at the core of our products and provides technical support for all our products and services – our Supplier Quality Engineers are vital to getting our aircraft off the ground and delivering superior products to customers.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Design and analyze product inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment.
  • Investigate part issues and perform root cause analysis and resolve product issues using closed loop corrective actions.
  • Control the quality of materials, products and services supplied to Insitu based on product specifications.
  • Provide education and coaching to suppliers on quality systems, regulatory compliance and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity.
  • Monitor and report supplier performance status.
  • Provide technical solutions for a wide range of problems through imaginative, thorough, and practical results
  • Compile and distribute supplier visit and audit reports following each supplier visit. Reports are to include clear improvement recommendations and actions when required
  • Conduct supplier audits and assess supplier capabilities and capacity to perform current and/or future work.

  • Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical
  • In-service support of avionic electrical, electronic and information technology systems and sub-systems.
  • Proven ability to solve a wide range of difficult problems using root cause/corrective and preventive action standard practice.
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic, communications, mechanical and tool and test software design technologies. Ability to support the design, development, test, installation, certification, delivery and
  • Knowledge of digital circuit design parameters (e.g., throughput, rise time, clock frequencies, propagation delay) and hardware description languages (e.g., Hardware Description Language [HDL], Verilog).Knowledge of computer hardware and software components (e.g., processors, memory, interfaces, high order languages), and characteristics (e.g., throughput, processing architecture, timing, capacity).
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) considerations with respect to electrical/electronic design (e.g., wire harness design, grounding and
  • Proven ability to manage projects and suppliers to requirements and standards.

  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, IPC/WHMA-A-620B Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies)
  • Ability to analyze problems (troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development and modification of company products using knowledge of engineering disciplines (ME, EE, etc.).
  • AS9102, AS9103.

Education & Experience


Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in an engineering classification


OR


Associates Degree and 10 years of experience in an engineering classification

Please note that the salary information show below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications and work location.


Compensation Range: 79,000.00 - 108,350.00
