Job Description
Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC
BBCH is growing! We are seeking a talented Superintendent to join the Herman Construction Group, Inc (HCG) team, a subsidiary of SGC. In this critical role, you will coordinate with other trades, process daily reports of project progress, and adhere to all guidelines issued by the owner. This is a phased project consisting of repairing structural seismic deficiencies. This position will be located at the Travis Air Force base in Fairfield, CA. The project consists of a renovation of a compound and iv mixing LAB, Interior renovations to include HVAC, electrical, and finishes, and replacement of a custom-built AHU located on the 5th-floor roof.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily and weekly scrum schedule meetings with all Subcontractors to ensure coordination, collaboration, and communication of all scheduled activities
  • Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repair updates for the project manager and the homeowner
  • Assist in the development of a detailed CPM Construction Schedule, specifically the enumeration of tasks, task sequence, and duration in accordance with the contract documents, and provide monthly progress schedule updates
  • Certify that each building project delivers a high-quality end product, oversee construction staff, and perform on-site assessments daily
  • Review subcontractor output concerning schedules and success targets to ensure that the project is on track to be completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards required
  • Consult with the project's stakeholders to ensure that the project remains within budget
Qualifications
  • Has basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Superb organizational, leadership, time-management, and communication skills
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.
  • Completed training for OSHA 30 license and firm adherence to safety protocols on the job-site
  • DOD/GVT experience is required
  • Ability to comfortably delegate both routine and, when necessary, important tasks and decisions, with excellent follow-through
  • 5 years of Construction Medical experience
  • Experience with HVAC and Plumbing
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work Environment:
Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
Compensation
$125,000 yearly
