• Dates of Summer School: Instructional Days June 26, 2023 - July 20, 2023 (Monday-Thursday)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Daily Schedule: 8:00 am - 12:30 pm
• Start Date: June 23, 2023 (7 hour Staff Development)

Summer Skills Academy Teachers - Grades 7-8 (Temporary)

/Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and direction to instructional assistants
• Work cooperatively with other staff to provide quality instruction for students
• Document skills or language proficiency growth of students
• Use data to inform instruction
• Effectively manage student behavior
• Instruct Migrant students and English Language Learners in one of the following areas: Math, Writing, Organizational Skills or English Language Development
• Do pre-and post- assessments to evaluate students’ progress
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver quality instruction in a workshop designed classroom for Organizational Skills and Writing teachers
• Principal’s recommendation
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• ESOL Endorsement and Systematic ELD trained required for ELD teachers
• Oregon Teachers License
• SIOP/Constructing Meaning trained for Writing and Math teachers
