GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Distributed Generation, a part of EDP Renewables North America, is looking for a Project Development Intern.
This is a 10-week full-time, internship that will start on or around June 5, 2023, with an end date of August 11, 2023. Must be either currently enrolled at a college or university in New York or are a New York resident.
Main Accountabilities:
- Help build project development process map and template development roadmaps
- Supporting project management information system to provide data for the planning and control of solar project development
- Assisting project development team with daily tasks and deliverables
- Researching required permit and interconnection procedures and documents
- Ensuring weekly and monthly reports include accurate information and are distributed in a timely manner
- Build database of engineers, contractors, developers and other potential partners
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred
- Excellent quantitative analytical skills with advanced Excell functionality
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
