Our Earth & Infrastructure Team is seeking a Summer 2023 Computer Science Intern to work out of our Kennesaw, GA office.

Your Impact

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
  • Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
  • Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
  • Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
  • May, under supervision, evaluate or analyze compiled information following standard methods or specific instructions.
  • Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring WSP’s administrative and financial policies and procedures, as well as the methods and procedures specific to his / her specific discipline, are followed.
  • Learn programming and coding under the leadership of our Senior Developer.
  • Learn basic principles of Computer Science.
  • Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
  • Understands and applies safety requirements.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
  • Ability to work long hours at the computer.
  • Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.
  • Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship
  • Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
  • Demonstrated interest in Computer Science, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Undergraduate program.
  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.
  • Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
  • Experience with .NET MAUI is a plus.
