Substitute Teacher (The Tiny Tots Spot)

Summary

The Teacher is responsible for following the daily lesson plan and schedule. They will also work with assigned teacher assistant to implement the program. Ensure the welfare, health and safety of all children through direct supervision. Including following established rules and policies regarding safety and discipline. The Tiny Tots Spot uses the curriculum, Tools of the Mind and Creative Curriculum TS Gold to assess student?s progress as well as quality indicators from tools ? NAEYC, ECERS-3, and TPOT.

Duties

• Maintain accurate records.
• Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
• Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment ? including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.

Requirements

• Communicates effectively, problem solves and works as a team member.
• Minimum of 60 college academic credits.
• Relates easily to children and shows a real enjoyment of them.
• Relates well to adults/parents.
• County Board of Education Substitute certification (will assist candidate in obtaining certificate.)
