Core Responsibilities

• Check and set proper stuffer controls. Select and position proper stuffing horn.
• Must wash buckets in damp area and return clean ones to Grinding room.
• Service stuffers by bringing buckets of meat to stuffer and pulling bottom plate to unload meat into stuffer.
• Dump pan of product from broken casings into stuffer hopper.
• Operate stuffing machine, hang product, service stuffers, clean buckets - all part of rotation of jobs.
• Position on sticks and hang product to trees or trucks.
• Soak and untie bundles of casings when necessary.
• Clip - tie stuffed casings. Feed stuffed casings to linking machine.

• Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

• Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to add to knowledge base and skillset.
• Experience in the food industry, preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.

• The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
