Studio Senior Graphic Designer (Production Artist)

Our new In-House Creative Studio is focused on investing in the best in class, innovative talent. Our onsite Studio is rapidly growing it’s photography/video and print capabilities! Our studio focus is on high quality branded photography from product to lifestyle and yummy recipes, video capabilities for all social media channels.

In this role the Studio Senior Graphic Designer (Production Artist) position would work with Creative Leads, other Studio Graphic Designers on the day-to-day production needs. The ideal candidate would have experience in digital asset management, file management naming and workflow processes. An educational background in Graphic Design, Interactive Digital Designer or Production Artist experience. Software experience in Lago or Adobe InDesign. The objective of this role is to round out our Studio with an incredible production focused designer who will assist in all of digital production needs.

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week).

• Responsibilities for this position would include working with Creative Leads, Studio Graphic Designers on the day-to-day production needs. Experience in digital asset management, file management naming and workflow processes.
• Responsibilities for this position would include retouching, editing, manipulating and finalizing high quality images, color correction and composition.
• Collaborates with multiple departments and vendors to ensure follow through on all creative deliverables.
• Responsible for creating print-ready digital artwork files, software experience in Lago or Adobe InDesign, Interactive Digital Designer/Production Artist experience.

• Research market trends and present comprehensive recommendations to align with company objectives.

• Advises on any changes or actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

• Informs management of recurring issues or when additional team training may be required.

• Works directly with the team to create new design concepts and graphics to be used for multi-channel work request.

• Leads and directs creative graphic design projects from concept to completion.

• Drives the creative process by researching market trends and presenting comprehensive recommendations to align with company objectives.

• Manages multiple projects at once by prioritizing, setting deadlines and coordinating the flow of information internally and/or externally.

• Develops custom graphic packages for unique store locations throughout the US.

• Acquires creative content and stock images from vendors to use as part of store graphic package.

• Identifies and implements cost saving opportunities for any permanent graphics

• Assists in training and developing team members to retain a motivated and professional workforce.

• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.

• Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.

• Advanced level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, & Illustrator).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to take constructive feedback and integrate it in design pieces.

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or a related field required.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in required.

• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

• A portfolio of professional design work that demonstrates strong skills and experience in the graphic design field required.

• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.

• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.

• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.

• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.

• Domestic travel required.

• Up to 10%.
