Job Description
Position reports to Photography & Studio Director


Full-time 30-40 hours per week


Hourly rate: $17


The Studio Assistant is a critical part of the team that enables merchandise to come to life. In this role, you will organize and prepare a wide range of merchandise and assist in Wantable’s photography production.


Wantable is looking for an organized, detail oriented, and enthusiastic individual to collaborate with the photo studio team. This entry-level role supports the photo team in handling all inventory and moving it through the imaging process.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Organize and prep racks for on-figure set
  • Retag and organize merch to move through workflow at the end of each shoot
  • Identify inventory issues and escalate to resolve
  • Prepare all inventory entering the imaging process
  • Organize photo equipment, studio props, and other studio needs
  • Partner with studio staff to ensure daily tasks are completed
  • Studio support
  • Work closely with on set stylist
  • Run necessary errands
  • Run Errands & Pick up lunch when needed
  • Consistently work to meet daily production and quality goals
  • Make lunch arrangements during Ecom On-fig days
  • Support photography in packing and shipping equipment for repair
  • Take initiative to learn new job tasks and develop skills
  • Physically and systematically introduce product into workflow


GOALS:


  • Retag merchandise during shoot, as opposed to after
  • Process any “rush request” inventory which requires items to be photographed in 1-2 hours.
  • Keep merch racks organized for Ecom workflow
  • Check in and sort “priority” items within an hour


OUTCOMES:


  • Decrease garment prep time from 5 minutes per item to 3 minutes per item
  • Prep 120 items per day
  • Decrease retag time from 1 minute per item to 30 seconds per item
  • Retag 120 items per day


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to learn new computer applications
  • Interest in fashion, fashion brand knowledge would be helpful
  • Comfortable in a culture of continuous change
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to adapt to workflow changes quickly
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Acute attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Daily attendance is necessary
  • Ability to follow direction and assist the stylist on- and off-set
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to lift and move 30 pounds
  • Ability to work in studio 40 hours a week
