Position Title
Student Worker - Interior Designer

Working Title (if different from Position Title)

Job Summary
Assisting Interior Design staff on projects, client requests, and maintaining organization of the design library and sample items.
The student worker should be able to keep track of samples on loan, keep the resource room tidy and organized, and assist designers as needed on a daily basis.
Tasks may include interfacing with clients on campus, vendors, and reps/dealers from the industry, as well as physically moving furniture and heavier items.
Student workers may be requested to attend meetings, keep meeting minutes, or assist with rendering and design related tasks.

Essential Functions
  • Tracking sample items, placing orders for items as samples
  • Organization of interior design workspace and resources
  • On and off campus errands on behalf of the interior designers
  • Moving furniture around campus as needed
  • Coordinating schedules for weekly meetings

Minimum Qualifications
  • Enrolled in and maintaining good standing in INDS courses (if higher level student )
  • Availability and willingness to work summers
  • Contingent upon acceptance into INDS program (if freshman level student)
  • Completed Freshman INDX studio courses
  • Good organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of CAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite

Pay Rate
$11.00/hour

Work Hours
20 during spring/fall semesters and 35 during summer
