Job Description
We are eagerly looking for a highly creative, experienced Interior Designer II to join our Entertainment + Hospitality Team and to share our vision to dream big, be daring and create change. The Entertainment + Hospitality Team specializes in theme park, attraction, theater, retail, restaurant, resort/hotel, casino, and large-scale immersive and interactive exhibits, for some of the world’s leading themed entertainment and hospitality companies.

Candidates should have 2-8 years of experience in themed entertainment or hospitality related design. The successful candidate will collaborate on interior design efforts on multiple projects including collaborating on design with a multi-disciplinary team, preparing presentations, selecting and specifying materials and FF&E, creating construction documents, coordinating with consultants and contractors, developing graphics. We strive to innovate and look for our team members to have a learning mindset and come to the table with creative solutions.

What you will do

  • Support and perform interior space planning and programming.
  • Research project types and trends.
  • Build awareness and engage with: Rhino, Enscape, Lumion.
  • Plan, develop, and participate in design presentations.
  • Coordinate furniture selections and specifications.
  • Assist project management and design teams with on-site observations and verifications.
  • Be accountable for quality work in assigned focus area of the project.
  • Coordinate BIM models and documentation internally and with consultants, contractors, etc.
  • Document regenerative materials.
  • Explore interior materials and build awareness of building codes as applied to interior materials.
  • Engage in developing design solutions, coordination, and production efforts on a wide range of projects through all phases of the design, in an iterative and collaborative design process through simple sketching, 2D and 3D modeling, as well as computational methods in alignment with project success metrics.
  • Collaborate with related disciplines (consultants and contractors) for best design outcomes.
  • Support library maintenance.
  • Apply regenerative approaches to design and performance of the built, social, and natural environments.
  • Develop and document projects through both creative design and technical detailing.
  • Participate in construction administration activities with Project Architect and on-site staff.
  • Support and perform interior massing studies.
  • Engage with manufacturer's representatives.

What we look for

  • Exhibits daily discipline and time management skills towards meeting deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design.
  • Leads with curiosity and creativity, ready to solve the design problems at hand.
  • 2+ years' experience, working in an Architecture/Interior Design firm.
  • Strong communication skills with teams in order to build professional relationships across the firm
  • Actively seeks feedback and opportunities to learn and improve, taking responsibility for career growth.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Revit/BIM 360.
$65,000 - $97,000 a year
Compensation commensurate with experience, capabilities, licensure/certification, and location of residence.
