Structural Engineer Jobs

Z Modular currently has an opportunity for a Structural Engineer in the Metro Detroit area. This position would report to the Director of Engineering. We are looking for someone who is highly detailed-oriented, thorough, and self-motivated. This position is responsible for the structural design for steel modular buildings and helping to develop design standards for all future buildings. You will be expected to solve design problems that have not been asked or solved before. You will work in the pre-design phase all the way through the fabrication of modules. The experience will be challenging, yet rewarding as you shape the future of design and construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Structural analysis and design of steel modular structures
• Shop drawing review
• Communicating with design teams
• Steel connection design
• Drafting structural plans and details
• Communicating with production team
• Structural code review

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in a structural analysis program RISA-3D, ETAB, SAP2000, and/or similar programs
• Precise written and verbal communication skills
• Professional Engineer license
• BS in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with structural concentration
• 5 to 10 years of structural engineering design and analysis
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit
