National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, operates a fleet of B747, B757 and A330 aircraft to provide customers with a broad array of domestic and international operations. National Airlines specializes in time sensitive and special handling requirements, utilizing 757-200, 747-400 and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its missions worldwide.


Job Title: Stores Clerk

Location: Chicago (ORD)

Reports To: Stores Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Summary: National Airlines is currently searching for a Stores Support – Materials Support – Inflight Support. National Airlines, based in Orlando, Florida operates scheduled and on-demand charter and cargo worldwide. Together with sister company, National Air Cargo, National offers integrated freight forwarding and customized cargo and passenger services utilizing National's 757-200s, and 747-400 aircraft and specializing in over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements. The Stores - Materials Rep is a hands on, working team member position responsible for the day to day decisions about stock levels in coordination with the Materials Supervisor.


Position Expectations:

· Responsible for the Stores and Stock room location for parts/materials to support line maintenance.

· Monitors stock levels in coordination with the materials team.

· Ensures an adequate inventory to support National Airlines aircraft(s) are maintained.

· Responsible for overseeing the shipping, forwarding, and routing component parts to outstations.

· Responsible for routing, forwarding, and shipping component parts to vendors for required repair or overhaul(s).

· Performs other duties as assigned by Team Leader or Director of Maintenance.


Supervisory Responsibility: No


Minimum Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· Aviation materials and Inventory experience,

· Must speak, read and write English fluently

· May be asked to travel domestically and internationally

· Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets our company’s insurance standards

· Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance

· Regular attendance and punctuality is required

· Must have a positive attitude

· Must pass a background check which includes a pre-employment drug test, finger printing and criminal history

· records check (CHRC)

· Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the position is located


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Ability to use technical manuals, good mechanical aptitude and solve problems effectively

· Computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Office programs

· Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

· Team player with strong work ethics

Work Environment:

· Office / Stockroom

· Work shifts may vary – Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays


Physical Effort

· Heavy physical activity is required by handling objects up to 70 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently. (Medium to Heavy)
