Responsibilities

• Managing the daily activities of employees in an effort to improve sales and profits.
• Managing the daily expectations with electronic shelf tags, pricing and tag to tag integrity.
• Involved in recruiting and hiring of team members.
• Ordering for departments and maintaining manageable inventory levels.
• Working with the store director to address performance and/or disciplinary issues throughout the store.
• Active participation in inventory prep and counts on a routine basis.
• Handling register functions including backup cashiering, managing customer returns, addressing customer complaints and covering register shift changes.
• Continually increasing product knowledge.
• Teach, train and develop team members within the store.
• Exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence while adhering to all policies.
• Opening and closing of the store
• Cross train employees in an effort to provide customer service throughout the store.
• Maintaining in-stock levels in areas of responsibility.
• Creating appealing displays throughout the store.
• Managing margin and overall departmental profitability while controlling shrinkage
• Maintaining the safety and security of customers and employees.

Qualifications

• Exhibits the potential to take on great responsibility.
• Ability to understand financial responsibility related to scheduling, staffing, sales, margins and profitability.
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Previous experience in the retail grocery industry.
• Sense of urgency in completing tasks.
• Previous experience supervising others
• Customer centric with a positive attitude
