Description & Requirements

Role and Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Storeroom Facilitator- the position is responsible for efficiently and safely receiving and staging merchandise for the facility- mark appropriately for placement in facility- and deliver merchandise to appropriate department.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Prepare items for shipment as required. Communicate with suppliers as required.
  • Adhere to all site rules- and to adhere to all ways of working- and processes and procedures within that role.
  • Perform physical inventory of parts & supplies.
  • Conduct entry in Computerized Maintenance Management System of stock disbursements.
  • Obtain RMA numbers from suppliers as needed.
  • Perform area housekeeping duties.
  • Will follow instructions delivered during the training that explained the fundamentals of the Company Safety Process and will keep himself/herself and others away from harm while performing his/her duties. Will adhere to all LOTO policy and procedures.
  • Conduct retrieval & disbursements of goods issue tickets from satellite storerooms.
  • Receiving of Parts & Supplies.
  • Conduct daily- weekly and monthly cycle counts.
  • Conduct dispatching of repair & returns. Conduct restocking of bins for goods receipts (parts & supplies).
  • Participant on assigned teams; Support team decisions.
  • Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist other Clerks in identifying- locating and issuing parts and supplies to company associates. Responsible for improving the part descriptions on existing parts.
  • Provide vacation and absence coverage for Storeroom Attendants.
  • Issue parts & supplies to Maintenance and Production personnel.
  • Maintain positive rapport with customers- suppliers- contractors- and other Associates.
  • Ensures all products manufactured comply with the Quality Assurance Program and policies reviewed during the on the job training applicable to this specific operation function. Responsible for implementation and ongoing maintenance of QRMP standards as assigned and actively executes performance monitoring audits in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate company strategies for MRO management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Interpersonal and team skills to function as a team member and leader.
  • Organizational skills- be detail oriented- self-motivated and initiative.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) along with demonstrated professionalism- leadership- patience- diplomacy- high ethical standards- and a positive- cooperative attitude. Prior working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment- components and parts is preferred. See *special job knowledge for more information.
      • Special Job Knowledge:
      • Proficient with MS Office (Word- Excel- PowerPoint) and business enterprise systems (i.e.- SAP)
      • Experience working with vendors and contractors is preferred.

The individual must exemplify the ability to work with minimal supervision. Weekend and Holiday Work Will Be Required.

Physical Requirements

Reach- bend- twist- pull- and stoop; grasp- turn- and manipulate objects; move up and down stairs and/or service ramps; move- lift- or carry objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds; stand- sit- or walk for an extended period of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision- distance vision- color vision- peripheral vision- depth perception- and the ability to adjust focus.
