STERILE TECHNICIAN


STERILE TECH *CST (CENTRAL STERILE TECH) CERTIFICATE REQUIRED


Full-Time


Sterile Technicians Will Have The Following Job Responsibilities


  • Answers telephone and communicates messages.
  • Performs quality control functions.
  • Incumbent will demonstrate skill in sterilization, instrumentation and decontamination procedures. This includes maintaining equipment and supplies as well as maintaining a clean work area.
  • Restocks O.R. case carts.
  • Prepares instruments and packs for sterilization.
  • Operates sterilizers and decontamination equipment.

Sterile Technicians Must Meet The Following Minimum Job Qualifications


  • 1 year of RECENT ACUTE CST experience in an acute care hospital required.
  • CST certification required Central Sterile Technician Job Requirements.
