Aspirus is currently seeking a STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN in Antigo, Wisconsin to work at Aspirus Langlade Hospital.

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies, instruments, and equipment following infection control practices and utilizing the electronic instrument tracking system (T-DOC). Responsible for the accurate and timely distribution of sterile instruments in the department, hospital, and clinics.

Hours: This position is Full Time; 0.8 FTE or 64 hours per pay period. Day shift: 7:30am – 4:00pm.

Experience/Qualifications

• Medical Terminology Course and Basic Computer Course preferred.
• High school graduate. Surgical Technologist, Sterile Processing Technician, or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• CBSPD certification current or within 1 year of hire.
• One to two years work experience in Sterile Processing area preferred, or previous work experience in the medical field (e.g. Surgical Technology, CNA, Medical Assistant).

Aspirus Langlade Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Antigo, Wisconsin. The hospital admits 1,300 inpatients annually with 62,000 outpatient visits each year. The Emergency Department has more than 12,000 patient visits each year. We average 180-200 births per year and perform 1,500 surgeries annually. The hospital holds The Joint Commission-National Quality Gold Seal Approval.
