Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time. This position is remote (via Zoom); applicants must have their own reliable high-speed internet connection and a computer.

Job Summary

The Graduate School is seeking a pool of ESL professionals to assist with Teaching Assistant (TA) Language Screenings up to 5 times throughout the year (typically mid-summer, August, mid-December, and May with a range of 4-8 hours per day). These professionals will serve as ESL specialists on the 3-person TA Language Screening committee. In this role, the ESL specialist will facilitate the Zoom sessions, complete screening forms, and serve as an evaluator on the screening committee. Institution-specific training (paid) will be required.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Native or near native-like proficiency in English; advanced proficiency using Zoom

Preferred Education/Experience

Language assessment experience, specifically of speaking/listening skills in English; experience scoring with rubrics.
