Stem Lab Manager Elementary

ROLE AND PURPOSE:

• Assist the campus in scheduling and operation of the STEM lab rooms to maximize use of high-quality collaborative lessons.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Some college preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Ability to work well with teachers and Curriculum and Instruction specialists
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Some experience working/volunteering in a school setting
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Manage use of STEM laboratory rooms

• Effectively communicate with staff members the availability for the laboratory rooms
• Ensure that the layout of the laboratory space is appropriate for the lesson
• Maintain a log of laboratory activities by teacher, grade, and lesson for each laboratory room

Maintain Laboratory equipment and storeroom

• Break down and clean up laboratory rooms between lessons
• Assist teacher with lesson where appropriate
• Ensure that technology equipment is charged and in proper working order
• Check out and monitor equipment for use in the classroom
• Maintain an organized store room in compliance with any safety regulations
• Set up equipment for each lesson as necessary

Participate in staff development, training programs, faculty meetings, and special events
