Job Description

Job Title: Structural Steel Detailer
Location: North Minneapolis
Job Type: Full-time
Compensations: $35-$39 per hour (+benefits and bonuses)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel and/or Miscellaneous metals Detailer to join our client’s team in North Minneapolis. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings for fabrication and erection of structural steel and miscellaneous metal projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel or miscellaneous metal detailing and should preferably have at least 1 year of experience with 3D software.
Remote working might be available for the right candidate, following a first week in the office and occasional visits as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the fabrication team to resolve any issues that may arise during fabrication or erection.
  • Create accurate and detailed shop and field drawings for structural steel and miscellaneous metal projects using 3D software.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Attend project meetings and provide input on design and fabrication issues as necessary.
  • Prepare bill of materials, cut lists, and other project documentation as required.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure that all project requirements are met.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met on time and within budget.
  • Review project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to ensure that all details are accurately captured.
Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel or miscellaneous metal detailing.
  • Experience with 3D software such as Tekla.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication processes.
