Start Bus: Teton Valley Commuter Driver

The Town of Jackson is now accepting applications for the full-time, fully benefitted position of START Bus Driver for the Teton Valley, Idaho commuter service. This is an excellent opportunity for a value centered, team-oriented professional. Jackson is seeking a highly motivated individual to transport commuters from Victor and Driggs, Idaho to Jackson, Wyoming over Teton Pass. The current service is Monday through Friday with the exact departure and return time determined by the Transit Director.

The route for this service originates on the Idaho side of the pass with the bus kept on the Idaho side overnight. Residency for this position is required in Idaho either at the time of application or prior to effective date of employment. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.

Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License, and experience carrying passengers. Successful applicants must have the ability to obtain PASS Certification and Air Brake endorsement.

The salary range for this position is dependent upon qualifications. The hiring range is $52,410 - $62,400 (or $25.20/hr - $30/hr) DOQ. This position has full benefits offered by the Town of Jackson. The Town of Jackson offers a benefit package that currently includes health, vision and dental insurance, retirement benefits and Paid Time Off (PTO) which covers holidays, vacation and sick leave.
