Job Description
Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM


Position Summary


Under limited supervision, the Staff Assistant 2 performs a variety of administrative support functions for a department, clinical unit, or program that may include all or part of the following:


  • Coordinate meetings as directed including location, participants, agenda, and minutes.
  • Perform other administrative duties to support program(s) and/or department such as scheduling, transcription, auditing, department software maintenance, preparation of invoices, check requests, travel requests, etc.
  • Collect data and develop and generate reports to support department functions.
  • Create and edit letters, forms, presentations, and documents using word processing, databases, spreadsheets, or similar programs.
  • Schedule patients and visitors for various department services, including tests and procedures.
  • Assist manager with budget creation and administration and analyze data related to reimbursements, charges, accounts, etc.


Qualifications


  • Minimum 3 years of progressive clerical experience providing knowledge and experience with coordinating projects required.
  • Associate degree in office sciences, business, or related area, preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office related computer programs required.


Please Note: Depending on the department or unit supported, this role may require also require successful completion of medical terminology course and/or BLS Instructor certification within 6 months of hire.
