Position Summary


This position analyzes, classifies and reviews various accounting transactions and activities. This position identifies accounting problems and identifies solutions to those problems. This position interacts regularly with cross-functional teams.


Essential Responsibilites
  • Identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all internal customers
  • Identify problems, research solutions and form recommendations for resolution
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, and open/responsive to change
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with efficiency, expediency and accuracy
  • Assist with various other monthly activities, potentially including payroll, prepaids, royalties, fixed assets, deferred revenue, accruals and other areas, as required
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization, as well as with external parties
  • Serve as back-up for releasing ACH payments
  • Various other duties, as required
  • Prepare various accounting transactions and journal entries on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Perform various account reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Ensure processes and procedures follow company policies, and assist with developing or modifying new/revised procedures, if necessary


Requirements
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Minimum two years of accounting experience
  • Solid working knowledge of accounting applications in a computerized environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting


PREFERENCES


  • Experience with NetSuite is not required but is a plus
  • Experience with detailed account reconciliations and reconciliation software is a plus
