Damar Services is looking for a talented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of Accounting functions for the agency. Essential job duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Damar’s Strategic Plan and requirements by Licensure.

Remarkable way you will make a difference...


  • Assists in collection of all A/R; rebilling and phone contact as necessary.
  • Assists with financial report preparation bi-monthly.
  • Books revenue at the end of each month.
  • Prepares copies of invoices for funding sources and mail or forward as required.
  • Maintain contract control sheets to track and record any program changes or funding changes for clients.
  • Assists with annual financial audits and provide information needed by auditors.
  • Maintains documentation that is accurate and legible.
  • Assists employees with questions, problems, etc.
  • Provides support with month-end processing, including journal entries, and reports.


What You Need To Be Considered...


  • Previous accounting experience preferred.
  • MBA or CPA a plus.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.


Essential Job Functions


Physical Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
