Town of North Branford has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant. The Town of North Branford is accepting applications for Staff Accountant. Performs routine to complex professional accounting and office administration activities. Work involves maintaining accounting controls of Town expenditures and revenues, fixed assets, grants, and reconciling all ledgers and journals, and overseeing the accounts receivable and payable activities, and overseeing the Town’s payroll. Adheres to and implements internal control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Town's financial data in compliance with all regulatory guidelines. Must have an Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field AND 3 years’ experience including 1 year in a supervisory or lead role OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties on the position. This position is 35 hours per week; salary range is $75,000-$85,00, DOQ.
