Description


The Staff Accountant Associate's primary responsibility is to support two Staff Accountants. Majority of tasks relate to making journal entries, compiling information, and special projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Compile monthly store P&Ls, explaining fluctuations based on predetermined parameters
  • Operate in a detail-oriented and dynamic team environment
  • Prepare journal entries, including accruals and reclasses, for both P&L and balance sheet
  • Complete special projects/tasks, both for field-facing initiatives and internal
  • Review monthly P&L expenses allocated to store back-office systems
  • Effectively communicate financial information to nonfinancial field partners
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation documentation and reconcile accounts
  • Consistently apply innovative thinking to transform and automate internal processes

Requirements


Education: Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance or other business-related degree required; however, consideration will be given to candidates with minimum of 60 college credit hours


Experience: 1-year related Accounting experience preferred


Computer Skills: Proficient with Excel and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft AX Dynamics, and Cadency Certification is a plus but not required.
