Sr. Tester (Qa Work Lead - Mycolorado) (Remote From Anywhere In Co)

We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Tester QA Work Lead to be responsible for conducting and leading testing activities during the system test phase of the software development lifecycle for the myColorado mobile app, the official mobile app of the State of Colorado. This includes planning and executing system tests based on adherence to requirements, identifying and managing test data, and identifying and managing software defects. The Senior Tester is a peer to other testers and provides technical support and daily testing work guidance to team members. In this role you’ll help us to assign, prioritize, monitor and maintain workflow, while using your expertise in mobile application testing.

In this role you will:

• Identify corner cases and recommended handling strategies (back out, go forward, messaging)
• Pinpoint performance benchmarks and bottlenecks (AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrails, X-Ray Monitoring)
• Schedule, and execute load testing plans and scripts (JMeter, AWS Distributed Load Testing, Blaze) and accessibility testing plans (SiteImprove).
• Create, maintain, and execute automated application test scripts (selenium framework, Postman) and manual test plans.

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. education (if substituting for the proven experience, knowledge, and skills), are as follows:

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional experience as a software tester, or quality assurance engineer using multiple testing tools and methods, or 3 years experience as a software developer.

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.

Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.

If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

• Experience with html/css/client-side scripting, Chrome DevTools, Postman/Fiddler/Selenium/Katalon/JMeter
• Experience with Cloud environments (AWS/Azure), Agile methodology, Script automation
• Trouble-shooting skills, Configuration Management, Performance tuning, Product Documentation
• Experience in any or a multitude of programming languages with MacOS, Windows, Linux systems, and/or iOS, Android devices.
